Fantastic Fairytales - The Paranormalcy series by Kiersten White

I don't know how many of you out there haven't read this series yet, but if you are a fairy tale fan and you haven't, well it's time you corrected that deficit.

Kiersten White has written a funny, exciting and mysterious story about a young girl who's biggest ambition in live so far is to go to high school and have her own locker.  The fairies are dark and dangerous with an evil queen who likes to torture humas. The humans are in mortal danger and don't realise it. The other supenaturals are all depending on Evie to save them from a possible armageddon, and Evie herself - well, she just wants to be normal.

There is a beautiful romance that will have you sighing, a kick-ass heroine armed with a pink taser, and enough humour to keep you laughing from beginning to end.  And with all that, it's perfectly acceptable for younger teens too.  If you haven't read this series yet, give it a try - it might surprise you.  Lots of fun, and you have the added advantage of being able to read it all with no wait inbetween.
